CCPT is most effective for children aged 3 to 10, though the approach can be adapted for children up to 12. If you're unsure whether your child is a good fit, feel free to reach out and we can chat through it.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes. This includes time for the child's play session as well as a brief check-in with parents/carers.
Every child is different. Research suggests that CCPT is most effective when sessions are consistent and ongoing — typically a minimum of 10–15 sessions. We'll review progress together as we go.
For most sessions, children attend the playroom on their own. This is an important part of the CCPT process — it gives children the freedom to lead and express themselves without worry. I'll keep you informed every step of the way.
